We all love our furry 'family' members, and want to make sure we do what we can to make their lives healthier and more chemical free. So where can we find information on what to do for them?
A great resource are the booklets published by Life Science. From an Essential Oils Desk Reference for Animals, to booklets for specific animals (ex: dogs) they can help you with the information you need at your fingertips.
Check them out at https://www.discoverlsp.com/all-books/animal-care.html
Here are just a few from the booklets...
'To keep the bones strong and help prevent [arthritis], try the following: Put Sulfursyme in the dog's food. Small dogs need 1/8 to 1/4 serving per day. Large dogs need 2 to 4 servings a day.'
'Calming - T-Away, Peace & Calming, RutaVaLa, Trauma Life, Stress Away, and Lavender work well with most dogs; they usually respond very quickly to the smell. Diffusing is a way to help your dogs.'
'Insect Repellent - RepelAroma can be sprayed on and around your dog. If you don't have RepelAroma, you can mix 10 drops each of PaloSanto, Idaho Tansy, Eucalyptus Globulus, and Peppermint in an 8 ounce spray bottle with water.'
'Ear Mites - Apply Purification, RepelAroma, and/or Peppermint to a cotton swab and swab just the inside of the ear or around the base of the ear. DO NOT drip in the ear.'
Skin Issues - Fankincense, Lavender, Clove, Myrrh, Orange, and Oregano can be applied neat in combination or singularly.'
'Purification - Insect Bites/Stings/Nettle/Poison Ivy/Oak, Lacerations/Coughing: Tap 1-2 drops on your palm and dab gently on affected area.'

The booklets include a lot more information you will want to read to learn about dilution percentages, which oils not to use with specific animals, and a lot of practical recipes. I would highly recommend the Animals 101 Booklet.
